The Local Area on Llyn Peninsula, Wales
There are many miles of stunning beaches and coastal walks on the Llyn peninsula in Wales.

Abersoch village has a vibrant feel for all ages with many café, restaurants, bars and independent shops all within walking distance. During the season the village hosts the Jazz Festival, dingy week and much more. Off the beach at Abersoch you can learn to sail, windsurf and surf. Those of you with experience can hire surf boards and boats for sailing.
Regular fishing trips leave the Abersoch beach twice a day. There are boat trips to Bardsey Island that run from the Marina at Pwllheli. Further afield in the small market towns of Pwllheli and Porthmadog, you can find the traditional markets held once a week as well as a cinema, 10 pin bowling, Go Karting, Quad Biking, archery and a leisure centre (swimming, squash, tennis and gym).
For the golfers we have 7 courses within 15 minutes drive as well as a driving range 5 minutes from Abersoch up the road at Llanbedrog. In the wider area you could visit our castles at Caernarfon, Harlech and Criccieth, take in the sights of Anglesey, or take a ride on the famous narrow gauge railway at Ffestiniog.
